
Throughtout his career, Dr. Michel has witnessed firsthand how excessive recreational video gaming and screen use can negaticely affect some young people. He has seen children lose interest in music. Physical activity, academics, and meaningful social interactions, while families often struggle with conflicts, isolation, and the challenges of maintaining healthy balance in daily life.
These experiences inspired him to establish Music Over Video Games (M.O.V.E.), a non profit organization dedicated to provide children and teens with a positive alternative through music education, mentorship, creative expression, and community engagement.
Dr. Michel believes that every child deserves the opportunity to discover confidence, purpose, and belonging. Through music, he has seen young people develo discipline, resilience, leadership, and lifelong skills that extend far beyound the classroom or the stage.
His vision is to build a movement that empowers youth to choose creativity over excessive screen time, meaningful relationship over isolation, and a future filled with opportunity through the transformative power of music.
